12 Weeks & "Growing"

Well, I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow, and I am surely starting to "pop". I can't button my normal pants, so I've been rocking the belly band around my pants for about 2 weeks now. Dustin and I went out yesterday and got me 2 pairs of maternity pants to get me started. My cousin Kelly also lent me a bunch of her maternity clothes, so that will help us a lot. It seems early for me to be feeling so "bloated". Apparently, when your pregnant you worry about every little thing. So, one of my many worries is "should I be getting so big so fast?", so I looked up all kinds of baby belly pics on the internet, and saw everything from not showing at all to being huge at 12 weeks. Everything I read stresses that every woman is different. I actually still haven't gained any weight back from what I lost, so I know thats not why I'm looking quite so big. Also, I wasn't the thinnest crayon in the box to start with :) We will finally hear our little one's heartbeat on Wednesday afternoon! We can't wait. Our days are now filling with planning things like researching family friendly cars since we will have to buy a new car (I have a 2 door), reading as much as we can (atleast I am), and also researching local child care centers (apparently we needed to start doing this "now", who would've known??).

10.5 Weeks and Already Feeling Better!

Hello All,
I'm not sure how many people are actually interested enough to read this regularly, but it's fun for me regardless. I'm in the middle of my 10th week now and I'm already beginning to feel a lot better! For about 5 days now, I have been feeling really hungry, and only feel slightly nauseus after eating, but I am keeping everything down. I'm just so glad to be feeling better, I didn't know if I was gonna make it :) I haven't gained any of the weight back that I lost, but my stomach seems to be getting a little bigger and rounder in the last week or so. My regular pants are getting pretty snug. Dustin and I are just now beginning to really think a little bit more about plans. We've been getting some info on my maternity leave policy, are planning to open a seperate savings account to start putting money away specifically for the baby (eventually to start saving for college), and pricing baby furniture and checking out the prices of diapers and formulas. In just another week and a half we'll finally hear our little ones heart beat! Then, we can finally share our secret with everyone (there are still some who do not know). I'm also trying to decide if I want to wait until 20 weeks and have an ultrasound at my doctors office to find out the sex, or do I want to go to one of those ultrasound places were you can get 3D & 4D ultrasounds and find out the sex as early as 16 weeks. Hmmm...anyone have any advice?

1st Doctors Appt

Our little one and I had our first doctors appt yesterday. We were at the office for almost 2 full hours! They gave us lots and lots of information to read through and lots of pamphlets of choices we need to make. They were a little concerned about me being so sick and losing a few pounds so far, so they prescribed me phenergan. However, they mentioned that it makes you extremely tired, so not to take it at work or when I'm going to drive a car. I guess I can only take it on weekends? They kept getting on me about eating fruits and veggies right now, but I can barely eat anything... They confirmed my pregnancy again with a urine sample, and also took blood to do another band of tests. Dustin was with me and had a smile on his face the whole time, just trying to take everything in (except when they took my blood, he had to leave the room...hehe). They did a complete physical exam and said everything looks and feels great. Unfortunetly, we didn't get to hear the heartbeat or see any cool pics of our little one yet. We go back on April 1st to hear the heartbeat. I think that appt will make the pregnancy even more real and exciting! Oh, by the way, my due date is October 12th!

Erin

Oh SO SICK...

Well, so much for feeling good most of the time. I pretty much feel completely nauseated all waking hours and vomit pretty regularly. Everyone is telling me "This is a good thing...", but I don't know how people get through it. I'm sooo sick :(

First doc appt this thursday afternoon! Can't wait.
